About Me

I'm Alexandra Hernandez, the current Data Engineer (Specialty) for Adeptus Advisors Group. With a B.S. in Machine Learning and Computer Science from UC San Diego, I specialize in building scalable data systems, pipelines, and intelligent automation that facilitate company productivity and innovation.

My journey in tech started early–creating Minecraft mods and command block games in elementary school, which sparked a lifelong passion for programming. In high school, I earned my IB Diploma with a focus on Computer Science and Biometrics, and built my first game and mobile app with JavaScript and Java.

Since then, I've worked across research and industry, from developing text-to-SQL systems with Cortex Analyst at InSite Health to building data visualization tools for Chen Battery Lab and creating unsupervised ML models for accent classification. Whether I'm migrating databases, automating data pipelines, or integrating LLMs into the work environment, I'm driven to make advanced technology accessible and effective; especially in a fast-moving world with AI at the forefront, I strive to keep myself–and everyone else–with the program (literally).
